My name is Nilima Mehta and I am learning vocal music from Jageshbhai for past 12 years.
I am a physician in Texas , USA . While visiting my mother in India , I met Jageshbhai and started learning Sugam Sangeet. Along with that I also started learning Classical music So I can sing different songs better. In 2010 I started online classes so I can learn all year around and took 3 music exams . At present , I have continued with Learning Guajarati music, classical music and also am learning Hindi film songs on karaoke.
In online classes , there is one limitation - where you cannot sing together with teacher / sing with support of harmonium but with his help , I can sing ragas and bandish once I get my initial " SA"
Jageshbhai has suggested various songs, along with helping with my scale , how to bring out emotions, when to breathe so voice does not crack , how to listen to songs and how to be comfortable with singing in public.
Over the years , Several of my friends and family have noted progress in my singing - being able to sing at a higher scale , having better vocal stamina.
I appreciate his encouragement and pushing me to try harder songs and being patient with it.
With online classes , I am able to Continue my passion to learn music in my own home without having to spend lot of time travelling to see a local music teacher

Coming from a musical household, my journey with music started very early on. What started as singing sessions with my father soon turned into a passion that I would pursue for the rest of my life.

Turning my passion into my profession, I began to learn and teach music professionally. While all forms of music fascinate me, Indian Classical Music particularly interested me, and I completed my Sangeet Visharad from Bruhad Gujarat Sangeet Samiti, Ahmedabad & Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj in 2001.

The stage has been my greatest friend and motivator since the beginning of my musical journey. I deeply enjoy performing sugam sangeet, Sufi music, thumris, ghazals, covers, Gujarati and Rajasthani folk music and have regularly performed shows for a variety of corporate clients and occasions.
